CTA overlays
Put your message in front of every click. Attach a branded banner to any short link; visitors see your headline, message, and call-to-action button on a fast interstitial, then continue to the destination. A Growth+ feature.
Unlike frame-based tools, LinkLane never loads the destination inside an iframe —
so your overlay works on every site (no X-Frame-Options / CSP breakage) and
carries no risk of overlaying someone else's content.
What you can set
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Headline | Up to 120 chars. The big line. |
| Message | Up to 400 chars of supporting copy. Optional. |
| Button text + URL | Optional CTA button. Opens your link in a new tab. |
| Theme | candy, mint, yellow, or ink. |
| Auto-continue | 0–30 seconds. 0 = visitor continues manually. |
You need at least a headline or a message — a blank banner never ships.
How it works
- Edit a link → superpowers → CTA overlay banner, fill in your copy.
- When a visitor opens the link, LinkLane serves a branded page with your banner and a clear Continue to site → control.
- If you set an auto-continue countdown, the page forwards automatically when it reaches zero; otherwise the visitor clicks through.
Works with retargeting
If the link also has retargeting pixels, they fire on the same overlay page — so a single click both shows your message and adds the visitor to your ad audiences.
Performance
- The overlay page is
noindexand uncached, and only added to links that have an overlay configured. - Links without an overlay keep the instant server-side 302 — no speed cost.
- A
<noscript>fallback redirects immediately for visitors without JavaScript.
Good for
- Promos and lead magnets ("Grab my free guide").
- Launch announcements before sending people to a third-party page.
- Sponsorship / affiliate disclosure with a branded look.
