Core concepts

A quick glossary of the building blocks you'll see throughout the docs.

A destination URL plus its short code, settings (alias, expiry, password, routing, pixels…), and analytics. Created via the dashboard or the API.

Short code & short URL​

The code is the unique slug ([A-Za-z0-9_-]{3,32}). The short URL is the code served on a short host (default lny.me/<code>, or your custom domain).

Custom domain​

A branded host (e.g. go.yourbrand.com) you verify via DNS. Links can be served from it. Free includes 1 domain; Pro 5; Growth 10; Enterprise unlimited.

Plans & gating​

Free → Pro → Growth → Enterprise, rank-ordered. A feature gated at "Pro" is also available on Growth and Enterprise. Enterprise is a fixed self-serve plan ($119/mo); larger or custom needs (volume, SLAs, higher limits) are handled via contact-sales. See pricing.

AI credits​

AI features are paid-only and metered with AI credits — a weighted unit (a cheap suggestion costs 1; a strategist run costs 10). Monthly allotment: Pro 200 · Growth 750 · Enterprise 3,000. Unused credits roll over (1×), top-up packs add more, and Enterprise can bring its own AI key. See AI credits & BYOK.

Click event & unique visitor​

Every redirect records a click event (timestamp, geo, device, referrer, browser). Unique visitors are counted per day without storing raw IPs (a salted hash is used).

How far back analytics are queryable on your plan: Free 30 days, Pro 1 year, Growth 3 years, Enterprise unlimited.
